A great way to improve fitness, and enjoy learning new dance routines and meeting new friends.

 

What skills do I need?

None

 

Prior knowledge required for the Tap Dancing for Pleasure

 

How will I learn?

By tutor demonstration and group practice

 

Will there be coursework?

No

 

How much practical work is there?

The course is entirely practical

 

Who takes it?

The course is available to adult students, who enjoy the subject and want to develop their skills.

 

What can I do with it?

Improve dancing skills and general fitness.

What to buy - You may need to purchase equipment to complete the course successfully. Please do not purchase anything until after the first session.

It is important, particularly if you have a medical condition, that you check with your doctor before doing any form of exercise

 

Students are requested to wear loose comfortable clothing.

 

Courses on Offer

Dance Tap for Beginners

A great way to exercise and fun to learn. This course is for beginners only.

 

No prior knowledge is required; there will be simple routines and dances to all types of music. Students will require tap shoes, although these are not essential at first. You are advised to wear loose comfortable clothing.

 

The course will taught through demonstration and group participation.

 

Tap Dancing for Pleasure / Intermediate

A great way to exercise and have fun together. This course is for all intermediates.

 

Prior knowledge is required, i.e. tap step ball change, tap springs, single time steps. There will be routines and dances to all types of music. Students are advised to wear loose comfortable clothing and are required to bring their own tap shoes.

 

The course will taught through demonstration and group participation.
