The College offers an increasingly wide variety of courses and experiences to people of all ages, abilities and ambitions. 

 

As a specialist Sixth Form College there is something attractive and different for all school leavers who prosper within our open, friendly and adult learning environment.  There is something for everyone and the comprehesnive offer includes over 40 AS and A Level subjects, The International Baccalaureate Diploma, the New Diplomas, range of Vocational subjects, Apprenticeships, GCSEs, other Level 2 courses, CHOICES plus lots of additional opportunities.

Adult students can choose from a range of full and part-time courses and find the experience fun and life enhancing.  Others find the experience life and career changing.  The options available include:  

  • ACCESS - an alternative route to university for those without any or with only a few qualiifications
  • GCSEs in English, Mathematics and Science
  • Skills for Life (Numeracy, Literacy and ESOL)
  • The Community Programme - a range of courses in Art & Design, Design & Craft, Health & Fitness, Gardening & Horticulture, ICT, Leisure, Languages and Sensory Impairment

The College also enjoys a wealth of experience in providing a range of high quality learning and skills development opportunities, for both individuals and Employers, that meet the local skill needs and shortages.  These Occupational Training opportunities include Apprenticeships, Train to Gain, NVQs and a variety of short course and workshops.  Please call 0161 484 6630 / 6631 for further details.

Celebration and Awards Evening: The third annual event was held at Stockport Town Hall on Tuesday 15 December with alumni and Paralympian Sarah Storey OBE MBE as guest speaker.  Read more>
